Programme Summary


"The entertainment media's resource on family planning, sexuality and reproductive health." Many teens receive information about values, attitudes and behavior from television and film. The Media Project works with entertainment industry professionals to ensure that they are presenting the most up-to-date, socially relevant, and accurate information about sexual health issues to the public.

Communication Strategies



Work with writers and producers of the most popular USA day-time and prime-time television programmes, Panel discussions and symposiums on adolescent sexuality, Media Project HELPline with answers and researchers available for questions on sexual and reproductive health, SHINE awards - an annual gala event honoring outstanding portrayals of sexuality issues in the entertainment media, and forums and informational pages on the World Wide Web as part of the Advocates for Youth Site.
