Programme Summary


Rural Social Development Programme (RSDP) is an NGO strengthening Programme. They work with five major, indigenous NGOs in Pakistan to support smaller NGOs/CBOs and projects. The overall goal is to increase access to social services in the rural and semi- rural areas of Pakistan with a particular focus on women.

Communication Strategies



Sectorially they cover three main areas of focus: PHC, Basic Education and Reproductive Health. The Programme is intended to foster: institutional development, capacity building, training/human resource development, networking and collaboration with the public sector where appropriate.

Development Issues



Women, health and nutrition, family planning, education, economic development, social services.

Key Points



The main focus of the Programme is capacity building, institutional strengthening, technical assistance, training, networking and collaboration with public and private sector with the five partner organisations and through them to smaller NGOs/CBOs and civil society organisations at grassroots level. Also funding for projects with smaller NGOs/CBOs. The overall aim is to increase access to social services for rural communities with the emphasis on women.

Dear Sir/Madam

The Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs)from Bajur & Mohmmand Agencies are
still running from pillar to post to get hold of the necessities,a
Baseline Survey conducted by MRDO (Movement for Rural Development
Organization) in the different locations in the Villages of District
Mardan & Nowshera, NWFP Pakistan.

They have Emergency need in the below Food Items.
Flavour,Sugar,Pulses,Rice& Ghee.Also need of Blankets,Tants and Medicines
for Patients.

The IDPs facing a serious need of Food Items and due to the lack of Food
Childs are badly affected.

In the Survey MRDO field Staff identified 48 Patients are being suffered
in different diseases.

MRDO is looking forward to Yours Response to provide support & help to
minimise the sufferings of IDPs.Attaced the list of IDPs too.
