Programme Summary


A resource programme of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Bombay which is engaged in media production, teaching, cultural studies research and dissemination.

Communication Strategies



Video productions have been shown in various national and international film and video festivals and have been archived in many library collections, including the U.S. Library of Congress. The unit has facilities for still photography, video production, and graphic design.

Development Issues



Economic development, population, rights, youth, women, political development, development and the media, with a cultural studies orientation.

Key Points



Produces video documentaries on themes of social concern. Conducts workshops on media awareness and production skills.
