These briefing notes are a set of six booklets designed to help communities and local organisations support children orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV and AIDS. Each booklet covers these topics:
  • Overview
  • Psychosocial support
  • Health and nutrition
  • Education
  • Economic support
  • Social Inclusion
Each booklet outlines principles and strategies to consider when taking action. The development of these resources involved over one hundred organisations and individuals across Africa and is based on the experience of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, its partners and other organisations. This resource is intended for people working in government and non-government organisations and for policy makers as well.
