The Women's Health Data Book: A Profile of Women's Health in the United States
Author
Dawn Misra, ed.
Publication Date
December 1, 2001
Summary
This book provides a roadmap to the increasingly large and complex range of women's health data available for the United States (US). It addresses social and economic factors and provides information on chronic conditions, reproductive health, mental health, violence, health behaviours, and access to and quality of health services received by women. To the extent available, information is also presented on disparities in health status and access to care among subgroups of women, highlighting the populations of women who are at greatest risk.
Three fact sheets are included that highlight the key findings from the data book. They include one on overall trends and emerging issues for women, one on data highlights for women of colour, and one on highlights for adolescents.
