Vaccinators' CardSummaryUnited Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO), and polio partners in India and Nigeria produced this small card with key steps/questions that vaccinators need to remember/ask when entering a house and key actions they need to take when leaving the house.
1. Enter the House and greet the owners 2. Explain the purpose of your visit 3. Ask for all children under five years 4. Immunise all children under five years with OPV 5. Mark the child's left thumb nail after giving OPV 6. Remind the parents/guardians of subsequent rounds and the need to continue with routine immunisation 7. Ask about presence of AFP in the family and the need to report such cases 8. Thank the parents/guardians of the child 9.
