The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is an intergovernmental organisation created by Commonwealth Heads of Government to encourage the development and sharing of open learning/distance education knowledge, resources and technologies. COL works with media - especially community media and telecentres - as part of open and distance learning, developing capacities to develop more effective local learning programmes, and to link local media to educational institutions and agencies.
