Rolling Deadline

The New Media Fund of the Media Development Loan Fund (MDLF) seeks to nurture ideas that hold promise for wider adoption by independent media in developing democracies. It will provide financing for projects that further independent journalism and/or open debate about current affairs which incorporate:

* innovative editorial models for participative and citizen journalism;
* sustainable business models for open-content journalism; or
* sustainable business models for journalism that do not primarily or exclusively rely on advertising sales or pay-for-use.


The deadline for application is a rolling deadline.

An organisation interested in financial support should fill out an inquiry form. MDLF evaluates whether the organisation meets the basic criteria for becoming an applicant and provides further instructions and asks for more details.
