The South African (SA) Chapter of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Media Awards has launched the 2009 Media Awards Competition, which is open to all South African journalists who have covered SADC. The award is offered in the fields of print, radio, television, and photojournalism. The award offers a prize of US$2,000, which will be awarded to each category. The themes of the entries to be submitted for the competition must be related to issues and activities promoting regional integration or integrated water-resource management in the SADC region. Application InformationSubmissions must contain full contact details of the journalist, including a passport-sized photograph, physical address, telephone number, and, where applicable, a fax number and email address.
