DescriptionSNDT Women's University claims to be the first women's university in India, established in 1916, having national jurisdiction. The University Department of Extension Education offers post-graduate courses - the Masters in Extension Education and the Diploma programme in Communication and Media, as well as the MPhil and PhD. The Department trains students for professional work in government, corporate, and non-government sectors. The students are exposed to extension and communication media subject areas through the Diploma and Masters programmes. Programmes
Other InformationOnly women graduates are eligible to apply for these courses. Admission assessment for Masters students includes the Common Entrance Test (CET), the Subject Specialisation Test (SST), and the personal interview, in the proportion of 3:2:1. The CET covers general aptitude, logic, and language-related questions. The SST intends to assess the applicant's understanding of the discipline specialisation. Candidates opting for the Communication and Media diploma have to complete only the 'SST'. Personal interviews are mandatory for both the courses.
