The bi-annual Prix Jeunesse International festival and competition for children's and youth television and media in Munich, Germany, invites entries for TV programmes and interactive applications (interactive games, television, mobile media, etc.) for children and youth 2 - 15 years of age. Prix Jeunesse International uses its competition to generate a forum for evaluating the "state of the industry". By sending the productions and interactive applications, participants contribute to a week of screenings, stimulating international discussion groups and new research results on children and media. The 2010 Festival Theme is: "Different and the Same: Celebrating Diversity". Children's diverse cultural and social-economic backgrounds shape their media use and views. Entries do not have to be connected to the festival theme. The festival and workshop is May 28 - June 2 2010.
